Standards Australia has recently unveiled a groundbreaking publication on Digital Engineering titled “Planning the Common Data Model.” This document serves as a follow-up to the preceding paper, “Digital Engineering: Introducing the Common Data Model.” It articulates the Common Data Model (CDM) as the foundational framework for the emerging “new digital language of the built environment.”

Ausrail 2023

AusRAIL Plus 2023 left a lasting impression with five notable highlights. Firstly, the event provided an excellent forum for engaging conversations with providers, clients, collaborators, and friends, fostering valuable connections within the industry. Secondly, the innovative iTwin from Bentley Digital Cities took center stage, with insightful discussions on scan-to-3D and 4D modeling and their applications in infrastructure projects. Simulator train for drivers and tamping. Real-time dashboards to monitor services and improve customer experience. Lastly, the Nokia team stood out, leading discussions on remote/autonomous drone scanning, adherence to Australian standards, and groundbreaking manufacturing strategies. Notably, Nokia’s distinction as the first to introduce a CE-certified turnkey automated drone solution, seamlessly connected via 4G/LTE and 5G, underscored their pioneering role in advancing technological solutions. AusRAIL Plus 2023 proved to be a dynamic platform, facilitating networking and showcasing cutting-edge advancements in the rail and infrastructure sectors.

Digital.NSW is an event that reunites more than 1.300 government representatives (from all divisions) to present, learn and discuss the progress of the digital strategy during 2023 and think about the future.
